When I sing you can distinctly tell when I transition from my chest to my head voice. It sounds like a breaking point. How do I get that smooth transaction? I know you’re supposed to mix the two but how do you do that?   ~ Kate

Hey Kate,

Singing in mix voice is probably one of the more coveted goals a singer can accomplish, and is probably one of the hardest things for most teachers to teach.

There are a handful of different things that have to happen in order to create a mix. I’ve written about this topic quite a bit, so I’m going to attach a couple of articles instead of rewriting.

First, in order to better understand the mix, check out this article…

Then, once you’ve got a great understanding, you can learn more on the necessary elements to make this happen here…

Finding a mix isn’t always that easy on your own, and of course, if you’d like a little help, I’m available for skype lessons. It may take a few for you to own it, but it’ll definitely be worth it in the long run. You can Learn More about Skype Singing Lessons Here.

I hope this helps, and best of luck finding your mix!

~ Ken
