I really appreciate your online tips. Pls i dont understand the word thinning of voice when hitting a high note, can you shed light on it in simple terms? Also how can i hit a high note without screeching? Thanks

Hmm… It depends on what direction you’re looking at it from. If it’s positive, it means you’re leaving out a lot of the unneeded muscles when singing higher, making it more relaxed. However, thinning of the voice is more often seen as a negative thing in that the voice gets so thin that it doesn’t really blend. What context did I use it in (lol!)?

The way to hit high notes without screeching is don’t over compensate and try to force your way to singing higher. Allow it to happen, don’t force it. I admit this is an over simplification of what needs to happen, but without hearing your voice it’s difficult to give you specific advice for where you are vocally. Hope this helps!
